SACRAMENTO, CA – Courage for Democracy PAC and its grassroots advocacy group Citizens’ Impeachment have endorsed more than 100 Courage Candidates, including top midterm House prospects Analilia Mejía (NJ-11), Kat Abughazaleh (IL-09), Chris Ahuja (CA-32), Kate Barr (NC-14), Oliver Larkin (FL-23), and Chris Bennett (CA-03).

As a Courage Candidate, Chris Bennett an Army Veteran, has pledged to uphold their oath of office if elected, and is committed to impeaching President Donald Trump for tyranny, treason, and obstruction of justice for his ongoing cover-up of the Epstein files, at their first opportunity. 

“This authoritarian regime continues to loot our economy, violate our rights, and shield the billionaire Epstein class from accountability.” Bennett continued “I’m running for Congress to upend the status quo establishment politics that led us here and make our government work for working people. As a Courage Candidate, I will do that by taking action: impeaching and holding accountable all who have violated the Constitution, fighting for Medicare For All, overturning Citizens United, and passing proportional representation.”

Together, the Courage Candidates represent races in 81 House districts in 32 states, as well as Senate and gubernatorial races. They include one candidate, Barr, running as a progressive Republican, and six running as independents. The slate of candidates is running against Republican and Democratic incumbents that have not brought impeachment articles to a vote during their time in office, in addition to pursuing open seats. The Courage Candidates’ first opportunity to face voters directly was a success, with Mejía winning her special election primary, and widely expected to succeed in the upcoming general election.

Courage for Democracy PAC grew out of the nonpartisan, grassroots movement Citizens’ Impeachment, which united constituents from all 50 states to demand that elected lawmakers honor their oaths to defend our Constitution against all enemies, foreign or domestic. 

Courage for Democracy endorses and supports pro-impeachment candidates running for office in the 2026 midterms to ensure that impeachment remains a central issue for the election. Recently, Courage Candidates have expanded their platform to include abolishing ICE.
